Purple sprouting broccoli ‘Santee F1’

'Santee F1' is a compact purple sprouting broccoli that is sometimes known as asparagus broccoli. As the name suggests, this variety does not have a tight head but produces individual, super tender spears that taste delicious raw or lightly cooked. Apart from its striking colour, flavour and ease of use, this variety is also high in antioxidants.

Because 'Santee F1' develops individual spears that protrude above the foliage, it is easy to harvest several times. This variety is moderately frost hardy.
