Lemon Basil 'Sweet Lemon'

Lemon Basil 'Sweet Lemon' is a strikingly uniform, fast-growing variety with a sensational taste experience. The bright-green leaves are firm with a thick, smooth texture. The distinct lemony flavour is accompanied by a hint of sourness, making it suitable as an addition to salads or Asian (fish) dishes, but also for use in desserts, lemon pesto, herbal tea or cocktails.

Sow in trays or pots with 4 - 8 seeds per pot. Ensure good fertilisation of the soil. Basil also requires a lot of warmth, light and water. Plant out pots or clusters of young plants 20 x 20 cm. When harvesting, cut the stems to approx. 10 cm above ground level. Can be harvested several times after regrowth.

Tip: Basil is a heat-loving plant, but thrives better in partial shade than in full sun.
