Curly kale ‘Redbor F1’

Curly kale receives a lot of attention as a superfood. 'Redbor F1' is a highly productive variety with upright, curled leaves with strong stems that are easy to harvest. Suitable for autumn and winter cultivation. The plants grow to 70-90 cm high and the leaves have the most wonderful, intense, deep red colour of all red curly kale varieties. As with all curly kale varieties, the colour and flavour benefit from a spell of cold weather.Curly kale loves fertile, well-fertilised soil with plenty of organic matter. To ensure good growth, follow up feeding with an organic fertiliser several times during the crop cycle may help the plants.

Harvest: October-January, approx. 125 days after transplanting
Spacing: 75x65 cm
Soil: fertile with plenty of organic matter, alkaline and not too heavy
Characteristics: highly resilient to yellowing
