‘Elegance’ lives up to its name: this flower mixture contains varieties with small flowers and a fine leaf structure. Pure elegance that is perfect for flower meadows and flower strips in public green spaces. The plants help ensure a rich insect life by flowering in succession for many months. Humans will enjoy them for just as long too. Just 20 grams of seed will soon create a veritable explosion of flowers in an area of at least 10 square metres.
The whites, pinks, purples and blues in the ‘Elegance’ flower mixture are enhanced with a touch of orange. The early bloomers such as phacelia and cowherb are followed by coriander, marigold, dill and cornflower. Cosmos provides a long-lasting flush of flowers until well into the autumn. The mixture grows to about 1 metre in height, with the Cosmos protruding whimsically above the rest in the autumn.
Sow: Flower mixture ‘Elegance’ can be sown from mid April to late May.
After about four weeks it is best to remove any large weeds from between the rows, at least while there is still space to walk between them.
