Anise basil 'Ah Nice' is a particularly fast-growing variety with large, broad, spoon-shaped leaves in a fresh bright-green colour. The unique flavour has a hint of basil and a strong anise sensation, making it fresh and slightly sweet at the same time. The spicy leaf is ideal for salads, smoothies, cocktails and desserts, but also for preparing exotic pestos and for use in many Asian dishes.

Sow in trays or pots with 4 - 8 seeds per pot. Ensure good fertilisation of the soil. Basil also requires a lot of warmth, light and water. Plant out pots or clusters of young plants 20 x 20 cm. When harvesting, cut the stems to approx. 10 cm above ground level. Can be harvested several times after regrowth.

Tip: Basil is a heat-loving plant, but thrives better in partial shade than in full sun.
