Sweet Corn 'Golden Rush' is a mid-early, open-pollinated variety that is comparable to standard sweetcorn used in professional cultivation. Even after harvesting, the kernels retain their exceptionally sweet flavour for a long time, without becoming mealy.

The seedlings grow into strong plants quickly in warm weather. For good (wind) pollination, plant them in groups. If well-fertilised, the plants will develop beautifully cylindrical cobs, densely packed to the top with golden yellow, tasty kernels. These are well-protected by the many strong bracts that close around the entire cob to the tip, which prevents bird damage.

Please note: in order to preserve the characteristic quality and sweet flavour of 'Golden Rush', it is important to prevent cross-pollination with other corn varieties.
