Features

Swede 'Wilhelmsburger' is a highly productive variety with mid-size, nicely round, uniform tubers that have a smooth, cream-coloured skin and light green head. Its firm flesh has a deep yellow colour, and has a soft, sweet and aromatic flavour. Unwashed and without leaves, the tubers can be stored very well in cold stores but can also be ensiled for consumption in the winter.

At a young stage, swedes can be sensitive to cabbage root fly. Covering with special netting can help prevent damage.
