White mustard is a fast-growing annual that produces plenty of organic matter and effectively suppresses weeds. This makes it highly suitable as a green manure on vacant plots. It quickly develops into a dense crop, roots deeply, and naturally dies off in winter.

Sowing advice
Sow from August to late September in rows 20 cm apart, with approx. 1 cm spacing within the row. One packet of 75 grams is sufficient for about 25–30 m². Sow at a depth of 2–3 cm. Yellow mustard has few soil requirements and grows well on almost all soil types, except acidic soils.

Sowing density: approx. 20 kg/ha

Practical tip: When weeds are abundant, sow more densely to achieve faster ground cover and better weed suppression.
