Tatsoi is an alternative for the well-known Pakchoi. The dark round, thick leaves are very crispy and can be prepared raw or like spinach. It is easy to grow: it germinates and grows fast, but it needs sufficient water. You can transplant it when the first leaves pop up. It only needs some protection against cold nights in its early stage. Moreover the variety is hardy and can be harvested and stored for a long time.
