At De Bolster we value privacy and transparency. We therefore make sure that the data you share with us is handled carefully. Personal data processed by De Bolster

We process the following personal data:

  • First and last name
  • Address details
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Bank account number
  • Order history
  • IP address
  • Location data
  • Data on your activities on our website
     

For what purpose do we collect data?

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To be able to settle your payment after you have bought a product from us
  • To be able to deliver the products you have bought
  • To send you the newsletter and mailings to which you have subscribed
  • To produce a list of your orders over the past years, which can help you make your choice
  • To create an account for you after you have registered
     

How long do we keep your data?

Personal data is not stored longer than necessary. The retention period depends on the purpose for which we have been given or have collected the data and on any legal obligations to store data. For example, when you have placed an order, we are legally obliged to store your data (name and address, telephone and/or email address, order history and payment data) for a period of at least seven years.
 

Sharing of personal data by De Bolster with third parties

We will share your personal data with business partners and third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the agreement and in order to comply with any legal obligation. We also pass on your personal data to third parties in some other cases, but we will only do this with your permission.

We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to guarantee a similar level of security and protect the confidentiality of your data. We will remain responsible for such processing.
 

Suppliers

We use the following suppliers that process personal data on behalf of De Bolster, and with which we have concluded processing agreements: DPD, Kiyoh, MailMeisters, MultiSafepay, PM Networking, Spotler.
 

Google Analytics

We have concluded a processing agreement with Google. The data we collect in Google Analytics is anonymised and encrypted. The option to share data with Google is disabled.
 

Accessing, amending or erasing data

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any permission for personal data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by De Bolster and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to forward the personal data we have about you to you or to another organisation, as specified by you, in a computer file.

You can send a request for access to or the correction, removal or transfer of your personal data or notify us of your withdrawal of permission or objection to the processing of your personal data to mhoogendoorn@bolster.nl. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than within four weeks.

We would like to make you aware that you can submit a complaint to the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
 

How we protect personal data

We take the protection of your data seriously and take appropriate measures to combat its improper use, loss, unauthorised access, undesired publication and unauthorised amendment. If in your opinion your data is nevertheless not properly protected or there are indications of its improper use, please contact us via mhoogendoorn@bolster.nl.

We have taken the following measures to protect your personal data:

  • Servers and devices of our staff have up-to-date security software, such as a virus scanner and a firewall.
  • We will only send you data via secure internet connections (TLS, formerly SSL). This is shown by the “HTTPS” address bar and the padlock.
